DR. IFEOMA CHUKWUMA
Hi buddy! I’m Ifeoma Chukwuma — a passionate herbal wellness practitioner, researcher, and lifelong student of nature.
My journey into herbal medicine didn’t start in a classroom… it started from childhood. Growing up, I was exposed to ethno-medicinal practices from as early as age 7, working closely with my father — a renowned Taxonomist and Agroforester. That early experience planted something deep in me… a lifelong connection with nature and healing. 🌱
Over the years, that foundation grew into strong academic and professional training. I earned my B.Sc in Botany from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, followed by an M.Sc in Silviculture from the University of Ibadan, and a Ph.D in Botany from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Today, I serve as the Principal Research Consultant at Natureal Herbal Health Consulting, where I focus on herbal health solutions, product formulation, clinical research, and natural wellness education.I am also a certified herbal practitioner with the Traditional Medicine Board of Nigeria, a member of the Nigeria Association of Medicinal Herbalists, and an advisory board member of Feed To Grow Africa.
Beyond certifications and titles, my work has always been about people. From organizing seminars to supporting individuals through natural health challenges, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful the right herbal support can be. Over the years, I’ve worked in areas such as weight balance, skin health, infections, anti-aging therapies, and overall wellbeing — always with a personalized and compassionate approach.
And through it all, one truth keeps guiding me…

I was raised in a small cottage beside the Enugu Forest Herbarium, surrounded by trees, plants, and the quiet wisdom of nature.
I grew up on natural products from orchards, and with a father deeply rooted in plant science, nature wasn’t just around me… it became a part of me.
